Indian Students in Ukraine

The official languages of India are Hindi and English, but many others are spoken throughout the country. However, all university courses are taught in English. The number of Indian students studying abroad rapidly increased by 163% between 1999 and 2006, according an analysis of UNESCO data. Students of Indian origin are traveling in higher numbers than ever before to pursue higher education abroad.  Students are being provided consultation by MVC Group Education Consultant for admission in Ukraine University.

Ukraine offers Indian students programs in engineering, aviation, IT, business and medicine that are recognized by UNESCO, European Union and European Association of Universities. Moreover, 9 Ukraine’s medical universities are recognised by the Medical Council of India.

A greater majority of Indian students, enrolling in higher educational institutions of Ukraine, choose medical, engineering and aviation universities. All universities of Ukraine accepting Indian and other foreign students, are under a strict supervision on the Ukrainian government and have a special state accreditation.

There are approximately 5000 Indian students studying medicine and engineering in Ukrainian universities. There is also a small Indian business community in Kyiv. The Embassy of India, Kyiv, with the approval of Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, has established Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF) .

Kharkiv National Medical University, KNMU is one of the most preferred Medical Universities in Ukraine by Indian students. It is located in the former capital city of Ukraine - Kharkiv, which is also the education capital of Ukraine. Kharkiv is the 2nd most populated country in Ukraine and has some of the finest super-specialitty hospitals where students go for practical training. The hospitals in Kharkiv attached to Kharkiv National Medical University also get a lot of referral patients from other cities of Ukraine as it is home to some of the highly skilled Doctors & Surgeons of the country.
